Music video research: Planning notes

Notes made from watching a dvd about how to make a music video. This video made me start to think about things that i wanted to include in my music video:
- Get to know the music (lyrics, genre and mood of the piece) annotate lyrics
- Film the whole song as a close up
- Film the whole track in a long shot
- Simple pans
(All of the above shots will be a good start as i can then cut between the three tracks as well as experiment with fancy shots)
- Locked off shot (Where the camera is left running in a fixed position. Your actor/dancer starts performing a routine and then moves. The moving between positions are cut out. Usually used in dance shots.)
