Album advert analysis

I decided to keep in colour scheme the same as the digipak as I wanted to keep the two products linked.
I also decided to keep the bird as the main image to relate the digipak and album so that there would be a recognizable relationship between them so that it would be easy to see what products are being advertised.
By using the bird as the main and only image it is the main focus of the audiences attention.
I experimented with the positioning of the picture but decided that this was the best place as the audiences attention is drawn to the whole page through this positioning rather that having the image small and uncomfortably placed.

I decided that the facebook and twitter symbols would be in my advert as they are a modern way of communicating and I decided to use the twitter (bird) logo to keep with the theme of birds.

I chose the record company: Strange Famous Records as it is a very independent indie record label who back fairly unknown indie alternative artists who push the boundaries of the genre. I believe that my band MentalBooks will fit in with this record artist.
