Album advert deconstruction: Fleet foxes

Above is the album advert for Fleet foxes latest album. The use of the large picture (the album cover) in the center of the album advert page means that you attention is focused towards the image especially as the image is placed on a contrasting black background. The fact that the album is so detailed and interesting means that the use of the black background is more effective.
The contrasting for effectiveness and attention is continued through the use of white writing. The use of the white writing and the ordered font means that the important information is clear to see.
FLEET FOXES is written in capital letters and is larger than all the other writing on the page meaning that it is immediately know who the band are.
Underneath the image is all the positive feedback that the album has been awarded from big magazines such as MOJO and Q magazine. The use of these reviews mean that the album is publicized more as a 'good buy' as it has had many good reviews. The fact that 'Album of the year' (The review that the album got from MOJO magazine) has been repeated in larger letters (as it is the best review) means that the albums success is publicized more as it is the third most eye-drawing section of the page after the image and the band name.
The band also have a myspace page where the album would be advertised further.
Bella Union is an independent record label founded in 1997. The small size of this record label means that they would have a very niche type of music meaning that all the companies labels would be similar. The use of the record label on the album advert means that fans of similar bands that are signed to Bella Union would like this album too.
