This Wombats album advert represents a different type of indie magazine advert as it uses images to represent the albums theme. The images as well as the colourful jumbled background symbolizes the ambiguity of the albums title - Is this Christmas? There is a sense of ambiguity and sarcasm as while the title suggests happy things for example Christmas and joy/ the images; a broken bauble and a large question mark suggest the opposite.
The use of capital letters draws the audiences eye to the important parts of the the album - the band name/and release date. There is also information about the bands website that is conventional of album adverts across all music genres. The use of sparkles on the font tie in with the album cover and the use of white writing makes it stand out from the colourful background.
The use of the three images at the bottom of the album advert create interest as to what the pictures
symbolize which can be presumed to be revealed on the album.
